What the Hell is This?

What the hell is this? That was my question when I walked past these sculptures at the Camarillo Art and Jazz Festival. The third sculpture in the photo is a male torso with an old WWI tank turret for a head. Talk about looks that kill…

  1. beauty is in the eye of the beholder senor. god bless art for it is the deep need of all mankind to express itself. the torsos are a wonderful testament to the great idealized statutes of the greeks. If you go to the Vatican, there is the famous “Belvedere Torso” (google it) which Michaelangelo studied for many years and was the inspiration for his great works. i love it! continue the posts Sr. Taco……..it keeps us cubicle slaves alive.

  2. Thanks for your comment, El Calote. As the saying goes, you learn something everyday. I was not aware of the Belvedere Torso, and I have not yet been to the Vatican (on my to do list–actually my younger brother is there visting as I write). I will continue learning and posting. No other choice for us cubicle slaves. Have a great day!
